Bangkok · 3 to 4 days
Best time: November to February, the cool season. From the airport: Airport Rail Link to the city, about 30 minutes. Don't miss: the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, a boat on the Chao Phraya, the evening markets.
Singapore · 2 to 3 days
Best time: February and March. From the airport: MRT train to the centre in 30 to 45 minutes, or taxi in about 20 minutes. Don't miss: Gardens by the Bay, the hawker centres, Chinatown and Little India.
