Best time: November to March, the hot, dry summer. From the airport: MyCiTi bus or taxi to the centre, about 30 minutes. Don't miss: Table Mountain, the Cape Peninsula and the penguins at Boulders Beach, the winelands.
Johannesburg · 2 to 3 days
Best time: April to May and September to October. From the airport: Gautrain to Sandton in about 15 minutes. Don't miss: the Apartheid Museum, Soweto, a safari in a nearby reserve.
